All Plyboo products comply with the California Air Resources Board's (CARB) strictest formaldehyde regulations for composite panels, and many can contribute to LEED Credits. Smith & Fong has converted all of its plants to urea formaldehyde (UF)-free manufacturing processes. All Plyboo products are submitted to an independent, third party lab for performance and emissions testing.
In addition, Plyboo Edge Grain bamboo products are available with SoyBond, a formaldehyde-free adhesive. Soy-based adhesives have been proven to offer advantages in indoor air quality, workplace environmental safety, and ease of disposal.

Maintenance: Regular sweeping and/or vacuuming is strongly recommended to keep your Plyboo floors clean. Dirt and debris left on the floor can result in scratching. Spills should be cleaned up as quickly as possible to avoid permanent staining. Spots that are more difficult to remove can be cleaned with a damp (not wet) cloth and some elbow grease. Finish with a dry cloth if there is any remaining moisture. Wood floor cleaners may be used directly.
For Plyboo vertical surfaces, dry cloth products should be used on a regular basis to keep the product free of dust. Never use spray dust cleaners, as their chemicals and oils may be incompatible with the plywood, and can leave a film on the surface.
Over time, Plyboo floors will lose their natural luster, and will need to be recoated periodically. It is strongly recommended that you hire a flooring professional for this.
