Sustainable Materials
As a society, we spend approximately 80-95% of our time indoors. Because of this, it is extremely important that we are mindful of the air quality inside of our buildings. Each building that we inhabit is comprised of interior finishes and materials, many of which may contain toxins. Materials such as adhesives, paints, carpeting, and composite wood can all contain harmful chemicals which are released into the atmosphere, affecting indoor air quality. Using sustainable interior finishes and materials will help to reduce or eliminate these indoor pollutants at the source. In addition to air quality, the use of sustainable interior materials saves us money, contributes to the health and wellness of building occupants, and it helps us waste less of our planet's resources. Throughout this site, we explore some of these sustainable interior products.
