"Clean Vinyl Technology (CVT) from Len-Tex is a breakthrough development for the vinyl wall covering industry. Len-Tex has partnered with O’Sullivan Films to develop this advanced technology that eliminates elements of greatest concern for health and indoor air quality. Unlike traditional vinyl wallcoverings, Len-Tex wallcoverings with Clean Vinyl Technology have:

- No ortho-phthalate plasticizers;

- No arsenic-based biocides;

- No heavy metals, including barium;

- No antimony-based fire retardants;

- No formaldehyde.”

The wallcovering manufacturing process can generate a great deal of solid waste. The methods that manufacturers employ to manage this waste greatly impact their environmental footprint. Len-Tex created and manages a responsible recycling program where all fabric-backed vinyls can be returned and re-made into new building materials. "PVC scrap is cleaned, baled and sold to become pipe for building construction; scrap woven fabric is baled, cleaned and sold for furniture finishing; all cardboard and office paper is donated to our town recycling center where it is sold to defray operation costs."

Maintenance: Everyday messes can be removed with mild soap and warm water. If necessary, a soft bristled brush can be used to remove dirt from the more deeply textured patterns. More difficult stains that are only surface deep can be removed with a stronger, non-abrasive cleaner.  For further sanitation, the use of a dilute solution (5%) of chlorine bleach is acceptable. It is important to limit the set time and to dry the surface completely after sanitization is complete.

NEVER use abrasive cleansers or steel wool as they can damage the surface of the wall covering. Solvents such as nail polish remover will remove the topcoat finish on the wall coverings and should not be used.
